The Bay Islands Beach Resort sits on 44 acres of panoramic waterfront on the northwest shore of Roatan in the Sandy Bay/West End Marine Reserve. A two-story, Spanish style mansion and private beach houses and villas sit on 5 beautifully landscaped acres with fruit and nut trees, hibiscus, coconut palms, and flowers. All of the buildings face 450 feet of natural sandy beach directly on the Caribbean Sea, only 100 yards from the barrier reef which has made Roatan famous. The remaining 39 acres are undeveloped rainforest with eco-trails leading up 600 feet to breathtaking views of the island. Here are excellent opportunities for you to spot tropical birds, iguanas, monkey la-las, exotic plants, palms and flowers. Just follow the trail through the field full of Bird-of-Paradise plants and head up the hill.

On the beach beneath the coconut palms on the beach is Deep Ted's Beach bar, an octagonal full service open-air bar with a fabulous view of sunsets over the reef.

Complete with dance floor and grill, here is where you'll dance the punta and party during our special limbo party. Or take your drink out to the end of the dock and watch the sunset from our second story platform. This deck out over the water is also a great place to stretch out and relax in the sun! Also on the beach are beach chairs, picnic tables, horseshoe pit, volleyball court, and a palapa with hammocks for relaxing in the shade.
